OK, so we know it is important to see things from the other person’s perspective. And it is important to communicate what’s important to your target, not so much what’s important to youif, in fact, you want to hear “yes” more often.

Well, how can you do that? Well, there are six powerful words that will always force you to link a meaningful target benefit, and those six words are: “what this means to you is.”

See? You can’t say “what this means to you is” without attaching a meaningful target benefit to it. So when you start to talk about your points of justification as to why someone should take you up on your offer, try liberally placing these words throughout your comments.

And “what this means to you is” you’ll hear “yes” more often.
